With the recent release of Facebook's new look, Timeline, I've been excited to see if they will deliver this same fresh and promotable look to Fan pages. While contemplating the marketing possibilities for this, I came upon an idea to use the top "cover" area on the personal page to promote your favorite charity by providing an image that includes a scan-able QR code.
During the holiday shopping season, you could find QR codes being displayed at many retail stores. Some were using them for social media, while others were reaching out to consumers with discounts and specials. There were also QR codes that were confusing due to user inexperience with using a reader or the business was inexperienced with the proper use.
